Yes, that is my leg… AND yes, that is the hardware that is holding everything together. Quite amazing!

So, WHAT DO DEVELOPING & DELIVERING TRAINING MATERIAL and KNEE SURGERY HAVE IN COMMON?

TO SURVIVE (and flourish) REQUIRES SIMILAR TACTICS:

  1. Attitude, Attitude, Attitude!
  2. Proper balance is important.
  3. Careful if it is a reach: what happens if you fail?
  4. BUT sometimes you do need to stretch.
  5. No pain, no gain.
  6. Sometimes you just have to ask for help.
  7. Listen to advice from TRAINED professionals (not peers).
  8. Slow and steady wins the race.
  9. Consistency is key.
  10. Don’t try to do too much.
  11. Patience really is a virtue.
  12. Use the right path: backtracking is too hard and takes too long.
  13. Need a crutch? Use a crutch.
  14. Do your ‘homework’… no one else can!
  15. Everyone’s path & journey is different.  Quit comparing yourself to others.
  16. Write down questions, so in the heat of the moment you won’t forget.
  17. Put one foot in front of the other (i.e. one step at a time).
  18. Don’t let things get too big: attempt to reduce swelling.
  19. Plan your journey (avoid obstacles).
  20. Keep moving… don’t let rigor mortis set in.
  21. Slow down!
  22. Don’t get hung up on unnecessary stuff.
  23. Swallow your pride, laugh at yourself.
  24. No pity parties allowed.
  25. Simplify everything!

I had better go and do my homework: physio. Until next time…
